About
Gary Cone is truly a pioneer of Six Sigma. He is one of the original architects of the Six Sigma roadmap when it was developed at Motorola, where he was responsible for Cycle time reduction and Six Sigma at Motorola’s automotive group in the late 80s and early 90s. Gary held leadership positions at Compaq and Zenith Data Systems, where he helped to drive the introduction of the current generation of low cost PC manufacturing and achieve significant reduction in time to market of new products.
Gary is one of the original four people who created the Six Sigma consulting business model when he led the AlliedSignal Automotive implementation in 1994 and held a lead role in the deployment of Six Sigma at GE in 1995, Since those early implementations, Gary has played a major role in transforming the application of Six Sigma to what it has become today. His focus on leadership and strategy, driving the application of the tools to achieve verifiable business results, has generated some of the best known implementations.
Gary is the father of five children and very much the “godfather” of thousands of Black Belts and Master Black Belts in corporations and Six Sigma providers throughout the world.
